Dashdoc Alternative: Planlogi vs Dashdoc for 5 to 100 Trucks

Dashdoc alternative for hauliers with 5 to 100 trucks: Planlogi vs Dashdoc TMS comparison, October 2026

Planlogi is a cloud transport management system (TMS) for European road hauliers with 5 to 100 trucks, covering orders, dispatch, eCMR, a driver app with ePOD, tracking links and invoicing on one published monthly price. Dashdoc is a French TMS that grew out of Europe’s first certified eCMR and now serves carriers, shippers and forwarders from offices in Paris, Nantes, Madrid, Antwerp and Boston. For a French or Belgian carrier working inside a shipper’s Dashdoc network, or a fleet above 100 trucks, Dashdoc is the stronger fit. For a 5 to 100 truck haulier in Estonia, Germany, the Netherlands, the Nordics, the Baltics, Poland or the UK that wants to see the price before the demo and be live the same week, Planlogi is the fit.

This page is for transport managers and owners weighing a Dashdoc alternative, or deciding between the two systems for the first time.

Disclosure and method. The two TMS systems are compared on the twelve points hauliers put on a shortlist: who it is built for, order-to-invoice scope, eCMR, driver app, accounting integrations, tracking, planning, route optimisation, pricing model, published price, rollout time, hosting and languages. Every Dashdoc fact comes from Dashdoc’s own website, help centre and general terms, checked in October 2026. Every Planlogi figure comes from a published customer story or the public pricing page. This comparison is written by team Planlogi.

Planlogi and Dashdoc at a glance

Planlogi and Dashdoc are both carrier TMS products with eCMR built in, but they differ on fleet-size focus, markets, pricing model and rollout. The table shows the twelve points a transport manager usually puts on a shortlist.

Who is each system built for?

Planlogi is built for the carrier’s side of the desk: a haulier with 5 to 100 trucks, one to several dispatchers, and no IT team. Dashdoc sells to carriers, shippers and forwarders alike, with segment pages for small, mid-size and large transport companies and a shipper product, Dashdoc Flow, for dock scheduling.

If a bigger customer has shown you Dashdoc, the question to ask is whether your operation looks like theirs. A shipper running 200 carriers through Dashdoc Flow needs different things from a 20-truck haulier who needs orders dispatched, CMRs signed and invoices out by Friday.

Choose Planlogi if

Planlogi TMS dispatch board with route map and the driver app showing a four-stop trip: orders, dispatch and driver app in one system
  • You run 5 to 100 trucks and want orders, dispatch, eCMR, driver app and invoicing in one system from day one, without add-ons.

  • You want the price on the page. Four plans, priced by orders, with drivers, vehicles and clients unlimited.

  • You need to be live this week. Fleets up to 20 trucks are onboarded in one session; training a new person takes under an hour.

  • You invoice through Merit, Standard Books, Directo or Rapid, or you operate in Estonia, Finland, the Baltics, Germany, the Netherlands or Poland.

  • You want EU-only data hosting.

Choose Dashdoc if

Dashdoc TMS planning view with transports by day, filters for period, carrier, site and shipper, and charter cost and estimated margin per trip
  • You operate in France or Belgium and your shippers already run their flows, tenders or dock bookings on Dashdoc.

  • You need pallet-network connectors (Pallex, FLO Palettes, Palet System, Volupal), Trackdéchets waste tracking, or links to Transporeon, Shippeo or project44.

  • You run more than 100 trucks or several legal entities and want profitability reporting, multi-entity management and a dedicated support contact (Expert plan).

  • You invoice through Exact Online, Pennylane, Sage or Cegid and want a native connector.

  • You have budget for a two-week implementation with a project manager, trainers and separately billed setup.

eCMR and compliance: how do Dashdoc and Planlogi compare?

Both products issue an electronic consignment note (eCMR) that replaces the paper CMR, and both are ahead of most carrier TMS products on this point.

Dashdoc’s eCMR page states that the document complies with the eIDAS regulation at Advanced Signature level, is “approved in 39 countries”, is “recognised by law enforcement and customs authorities”, works fully offline, and is stored “beyond the statutory 7-year retention period”. However, Dashdoc does not mention eFTI, the EU regulation (2020/1056) under which authorities must accept electronic freight information between August 2026 and July 2027.

Planlogi’s eCMR is created automatically from the order, validates required fields before it can be issued, can be shared by link or PDF, puts the subcontractor on the document, and is archived in the cloud. Planlogi is on Estonia’s official e-CMR integration list (since 2024) and is eFTI-ready.

For a haulier, the practical test is whether the inspector at the roadside accepts the document and whether the archive survives a dispute.

Dispatch and driver adoption: which system will your drivers actually use?

Both driver apps run on Android and iOS and capture signature and photo proof of delivery; the difference is how much each vendor expects of the driver and the dispatcher during rollout.

Dashdoc’s driver app works fully offline and reports delays and damages “in a few taps”. Dashdoc plans the app rollout at “less than 2 weeks, alongside your TMS deployment”, including driver account setup and initial training.

The Planlogi driver app sends the job to the driver’s own phone with stop details, one-tap navigation, the eCMR in hand, digital POD and signature, and problem photos. Adoption is the part owners fear most, so the proof matters: Olaret, a container haulier running about 1,000 loads a month with two dispatchers, has 80% of drivers actively using the app in what its dispatcher calls a conservative team. Tarvas Invest’s drivers learned it in a single phone call. Ott, transport planner at Tarvi Transport, put it this way: “Planlogi’s driver app is so simple and foolproof that the real problem turns out to be people not knowing how to use a tablet.”

On the dispatch side, Planlogi gives a drag-and-drop planning board from the Team plan, with vehicle-based routes, re-sequencing of stops, subcontracting an order in one click and linked multi-leg trips. Dashdoc’s map-based planning is part of the Advanced plan; route optimisation is an add-on on both the Dashdoc plans page and, at Planlogi, a Pro-plan feature.

See the Planlogi driver app and planning and dispatching pages for the full feature lists.

Invoicing and getting paid: which gets the invoice out on delivery day?

Both systems trigger invoicing from the completed job. Dashdoc includes French and Belgian e-invoicing and connects to Exact Online, Pennylane, Sage, Cegid, Odoo and QuickBooks. Planlogi connects to Merit, Standard Books, Directo and Rapid, and adds fuel-surcharge (BAF) automation, consolidated invoicing and e-invoice dispatch from the Team plan.

The reason this section exists is cash flow. Tarvas Invest, a 28-truck haulier on the Estonia to Finland corridor, cut its Monday invoicing marathon from 10 to 12 hours a week to under 5, sends invoices the same day instead of a week later, and gets paid about a week faster. Unilog’s invoice creation went from 3 minutes to 20 seconds with the Merit integration. Tarvi Transport used to wait two weeks for paper CMRs before invoicing; now the invoice goes out at handover.

If your accountant works in Exact Online, Pennylane or Sage, Dashdoc has the native connector. If your accountant works in Merit, Standard Books, Directo or Rapid, Planlogi integrates with them directly. For other packages, Planlogi offers ERP integration on the Max plan; Dashdoc lists EDI and custom integrations “on request”.

What does each cost? Pricing models compared

Planlogi publishes four plans priced by monthly order volume; Dashdoc does not publish prices and calculates its fee from three variables plus a separately billed setup. That is the single biggest practical difference between the two for a small haulier.

Contract term

Monthly or annual billing

Term set in the subscription contract, “firm and irrevocable”, tacitly renewed; cancellation at least 15 days before the period ends

Support included

Weekday support; priority support from Team

Support capped at six person-days a month during business hours

Worked example for a 20-truck haulier. On Planlogi, a fleet of that size running 150 to 200 orders a month sits on the Team plan at €199 a month (€175 on annual billing), with every dispatcher and driver included; a higher-volume fleet moves to Pro at €499. On Dashdoc, the same haulier cannot compute a figure without a sales call, because the fee depends on the number of establishments, users and transports plus the setup quote.

Switching from Dashdoc to Planlogi

A switch from Dashdoc to Planlogi moves three things: the customer and address book, open and recurring orders, and the document archive. Customers and orders are loaded by Excel or CSV import (bulk import is a Pro-plan feature; smaller fleets enter the customer list during the onboarding session). Consignment notes already signed in Dashdoc remain your records: ask Dashdoc for an export of the signed documents before the contract period ends and store them alongside the Planlogi archive, because the retention obligation stays with you, not with the software.

Timing matters because of Dashdoc’s cancellation terms: the cancellation request has to be made at least 15 days before the end of the current contractual period, otherwise the contract renews for another term. Plan the Planlogi onboarding session for the last weeks of the Dashdoc term so drivers switch apps once.

Timeline for switching from Dashdoc to Planlogi: export signed eCMRs, cancel 15 days before term end, onboard in one session

For fleets up to 20 trucks, onboarding is one session and the dispatcher is working in Planlogi the same day. Larger fleets get a structured rollout with the Planlogi team.

Proof from hauliers running Planlogi

  • TruckMovers delivers new and used trucks and buses across Europe with a couple of dozen subcontracted drivers. One person handles about 100 vehicle deliveries a month, the eCMR is being used on the road to speed up police checks and cash flow, and invoicing is one click through Merit. Read the TruckMovers story.

  • Tarvas Invest, 28 trucks and about 50 trailers between Estonia and Finland, freed more than 250 hours a year on invoicing and now invoices the same day. Read the Tarvas Invest story.

  • Olaret, a container haulier with 30 trucks and 50 trailers, runs about 1,000 loads a month with two dispatchers, cut customer calls and emails by about 60%, and has 80% of drivers active in the app. Read the Olaret story.

Planlogi is also listed in the best TMS software for small carriers in Europe guide alongside Dashdoc and other vendors. We have also compared Planlogi with Impargo, the German TMS in the same way.

Frequently asked questions

Which is better for a small European haulier, Planlogi or Dashdoc?

For a haulier with 5 to 100 trucks outside France and Belgium, Planlogi is the better fit: published pricing, unlimited drivers, eFTI-ready eCMR and a one-session onboarding. For a French or Belgian carrier whose shippers already work in Dashdoc, or a fleet above 100 trucks with multiple entities, Dashdoc is the better fit.

Does Dashdoc publish its prices?

No. As of October 2026 Dashdoc’s plans page lists Essential, Advanced and Expert with features only and asks you to request a demo. Its general terms describe the price as a fixed fee per establishment plus a per-user share plus a per-transport share, with setup billed separately.

Is Dashdoc’s eCMR accepted outside France?

Dashdoc states that its eCMR is “approved in 39 countries” and “recognised by law enforcement and customs authorities”, with an eIDAS advanced signature. Dashdoc’s eCMR page does not mention eFTI readiness.

Can I switch from Dashdoc without losing my eCMR archive?

Yes. Request an export of your signed eCMRs from Dashdoc before the contract period ends and keep them alongside the Planlogi archive. New consignment notes are created in Planlogi from the first order.

Does Planlogi work in France?

Planlogi’s eCMR follows the e-CMR protocol, which France has ratified, and the platform is EU-hosted.

What does Planlogi cost for 20 trucks?

Planlogi is priced by orders, not trucks. A 20-truck haulier running up to 200 orders a month pays €199 a month on the Team plan, or €499 on Pro for up to 1,000 orders a month, with drivers, vehicles and clients unlimited and no setup fee.
