This year Planlogi has been working hard on a brand-new solution. We can now offer our customers the Digital POD mobile solution. In short, dispatchers and drivers can now communicate with each other through an Android app, and order statuses can be followed in real time.
Digital POD is available for all tablets running Android 5.0 or later. You can download it from the Google Play store.
The app lets dispatchers send jobs to drivers in real time and get information back on whether any problems come up in the driver's work.
The driver app is included in every Planlogi package and there is no limit on the number of drivers. All you need to give a driver is a username and password to log in.
When you start using the app, we set up a user group called Driver in your Planlogi database. You then add your drivers as users and link them to that user group. Once you save, you are given a login username (shown after the user's name). The password is the one entered when the user was registered.

For orders to reach the driver, they need to be planned for transport in Planlogi. Based on the planned date and vehicle, the order is sent from Planlogi to the tablet app, and the driver can take on the job.
On the tablet, the driver can mark which goods have been loaded onto the truck and which have been delivered, collect customers' signatures at handover and let the dispatcher know if there were any problems with the order (for example, the goods are damaged, or the customer is not there or cannot be reached). The driver can also add photos to the order as proof.
The driver can call the customer directly from the app to agree on what is needed to hand over the goods. In the order details view, the driver can see the contents of the order and check that the picked goods match it.
The customer receiving the goods signs the transport documents, or waybill, directly on the tablet, and once saved it is sent to Planlogi. All files sent from the app (waybill, photos, etc.) are stored in the order's file container. The customer's signature is saved on the waybill, and the signed waybill can be forwarded to the customer who ordered the service if needed.
